Weekend Roundup 4/30/18

Image
As we mentioned earlier, this was one of the biggest weekends of the year for triathlons in the state. We had 4 great early season races on our calendar covering the Memphis, Nashville, and Chattanooga areas. We hope you got out to enjoy one. You will see your TN Tri Buzz % on each race result. Head over to our Age Group Rankings to learn more about how these calculations work. As always: we do our best to extract the race result data that is posted to each site and the data is not always perfect, as you'll see below. We do not have the time (or desire) to spend hours formatting these results and we would like to get them out every Monday (if possible). If there are any errors please send us a note at TennTriBuzz@gmail.com and we will update ASAP. We will not go back to the race directors and try to hunt down your T2 time that was missing on the website :).

Weekend Roundup 4/16/18

This weekend marked the official start of the Tennessee Tri Buzz 2018 race season. The first 2 races on our Calendar were a couple of sprint triathlons in East Tennessee. We saw a lot of familiar names on the podium and somehow last year's AG Champion Jack McAfee took the overall win in BOTH races! Someone needs to verify those results. The Los Locos Duathlon was also this weekend and while it might not count towards our 2018 Age Group Rankings , it's definitely a race to check out. Maybe next year we will add a few duathlons to the overall schedule. Please note: we do our best to extract the race result data that is posted to each site and the data is not always perfect, as you'll see below. Start2Finish Event Management Q&A

We caught up with Daniel Shaffer of Start2Finish Event Management, the company behind the Los Locos Duathlon coming up this weekend in Memphis, as well as tons of other great races around the region. Check out our Race Calendar to see which Start2Finish events will earn you points towards the Tennessee Age Group Rankings. Thanks for the time Daniel! Let’s start out by hearing how Start2Finish Event Management was created. The company started in 2004 with 4 men that were all in one way or another in the business helping produce events. Each one of the men brought a different skill set to the table. The skill sets included printing shirts, experience in the website and online registration world, and the event production world. A lot has changed since 2004 and only one of the original four is a part of the company that we are today, however the unique skills brought to the table lead to what Start2Finish is today. Your team offers a lot more than just the traditional event
